Posted on 03/02/2009 04:05 pm by GlenGlen Hirshberg is the author of a novel, The Snowman’s Children (Carroll & Graf, 2002), and two story collections, The Two Sams (Carroll & Graf, 2003) and American Morons (Earthling, 2006). Among his many awards are the 2008 Shirley Jackson Award for his novelette, “The Janus Tree,” and International Horror Guild Awards for both The Two Sams and American Morons. He is the co-founder, with Peter Atkins and Dennis Etchison, of the Rolling Darkness Revue, and the original founding editor of Surrounded, the national journal of outstanding high school creative writing. He lives in a small college town east of Los Angeles and teaches writing and the teaching of writing at Cal State San Bernardino.
